Danny graduated from Martin County High and was a two sport star at quarterback and shortstop and was a 3 year starter at a 5A school. Danny was drafted out of high school by the Expos in baseball, but delayed his career to pursue football. He went first to Fork Union Military Academy, and then accepted a scholarship to play quarterback at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. For two years Danny appeared in 9 games as a backup to future NFL all-pro Jake Delhomme, and they won the league championship.

Returning to baseball, Danny transferred to Oklahoma State and became a starting OF. At OSU, Danny earned All Big 8 honors for two years, and the highlight of his collegiate career was being named to the All-Tournament team and playing in College World Series. Danny reached AA with the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers, and then began the next chapter in his career.
He became a professional player in the Italian Baseball League in Europe which culminated with the honor of playing for the Italian National team in the Sydney Olympics. Being an Olympian is one of the highlights of Danny's life.

Danny currently is a high school and college level athletic advisor at Title Sports Management in Stuart, Florida.
